I don't often shoot birds

Post by justinm »

I don't often shoot birds as I don't have anything but a 300mm. Recently I went to see some Bald Eagles and got a few good shots.

Good shots. I especially like the eagle. Haven't gotten as good a shot myself...they are always skittish.

Nice work, I also particularly like the eagle. You did really well with a 300mm, my biggest lens is a 400mm and I know thats still painfully short for many bird shots.

I thought this was going to be "the most interesting photographer in the world" post. "I don't often shoot birds, but when I do...."

It is tough with a 300, unless you find a place with a bird blind where they come in close. Then you can get frame filling shots with a 300!

I kick myself as I could have borrowed my stepfather's 600mm. That would have been ideal. Thanks for the comments.
