This young hawk was hit by a car near my house, and suffered a broken wing. After an OK from the local DNR officer, I managed to get it into a rubbermaid container, and to the blue ridge animal rehab people. They fixed him up a released him at our high school. I think they said it was a subadult redtail male. Any orno's out there please correct me if that's not the case. We live about 1/3 of the way up on that ridge in the backround.
