Sorry to post a link, but I frequent a native fish forum and someone posted some amazing underwater photography shots. Check out the 1st two bullfrog shots and the baby map turtle surfacing for air.
Be prepared to be blown away!

ps - again, these are not my pictures, but thought I needed to share these.

Andy,
Thanks for sharing that. Having been to Arkansas for two consecutive years, i am a huge fan and hope to make it back down there.
Was fortunate to camp for one night on the Buffalo this year (late May/Early June) and will definitely be back. Set out to visit a transplant from SW Ohio and to do a multi-day/night on the river via canoe. The water was too low this year. Honestly, I knew it and many other streams in the Ozarks are super special, but those pictures really reveal it!
While there (AR), I snorkeled in an Unamed Creek and witnessed the fish diversity, but even though the water was crystaline clear, i didn't see the individuals as clearly as those photos. All the Rivers/Spring fed Creeks were low. We did however do a full day canoe trip on the White River. Bald eagle grapled a fish from the surface of the river. It too was really low this year, and as a result exceptionally clear, my friend, that lives in Mountain View said it was very rare for it to be either.
Buffalo R., too low to do the multi-day canoe trip that we intended on.
Love the darters, chubs and others,

Just found this thread. Wow!
Thanks Andy for the link, did you go to page three and see the Watersnake in situ? Very cool.
Now I've got to tie a whole new box of flies to match all those darters.
