Re: Veterans vs. Pythons
The real news here is not the pythons (though a good number of commenters think it is). We've all hashed that topic out, ad nauseum.
The real news is that it seems to be a help to vets battling PTSD (something very real to some of us.)
I don't care if they have no effect on the python population.

Re: Veterans vs. Pythons
One of the greatest life teachers I ever knew was a Vietnam vet, who was a hardcore biker who hand fed the parrots at a shop I worked. He got into birds after coming home, and he was incredibly gifted, at taming problem birds, healing their injuries both physical and psychological. All self taught. He knew about so many other things as well, but I learned to be careful quoting him in mixed company lol. He encouraged me to get a motorcycle, and suggested a Rebel, because of my size. But my mom said she would disown me if I followed thru.
I idolized that man. I miss him. I'm with you Bill.

I ran into that guy in the everglades earlier this year! He's the fella that spotted the nile croc down there too. He's a pretty cool dude. Took me and my buddies out on a walk to look for some pythons.
