This article shows why it's (a) great to have a house in Malaysia, and (b) not so great to use computer-aided machine translation without a human proofreader to create articles for your English newspaper.

we used to have a game when I was in college. 2 or 3 of us taking language classes would get together, run a body of well recognized text (a chapter from the Bible, a famous speech, whatever) and babblefish it from English, to person A's language to person b's language back to english.
Try running something from English, to Japanese, to Spanish, back to English. :lol: Then give it to someone else and see if they can figure out what it was (usually not).

I love that the neurotoksin ( :lol: #1) can destroy the victim. :lol: That was a cool translation.

Reminds me of calling Toshiba years ago for help with a DVD player. The manual didn't make sense. I was told it was written in France and proofread in Korea to then be distributed in the United States.
