Ambystoma mavortium. Five animals found in a well vault. 12 degrees Fahrenheit at the surface, though considerably colder with the wind chill. Temperature inside the well vault was probably hovering around freezing.

Dude, nice post! I wish we had more caudate diversity out here in Montana, but it sure makes me appreciate seeing posts chalk full of them even more! Yeah, cooling them for a few months works wonders if they won't eat right off the bat. They come out prepared for winter, so sometimes it's best to let Nature take over.

It could be the angle, but the telson looks too narrow for Hadrurus and the legs too long and splayed to the sides. I'd look into Paruroctonus and Smeringurus species. Just going on the photos alone, I'd guess it's Smeringurus mesaensis . Regardless, I'm about 110% sure it isn't a Caraboctonid, but ...

That Seminatrix is rockin', and being a Lampro-dork, I especially dig the kings and milks, too. That "ratsnake kink" is something that a herper never forgets once he/she's seen it. Pretty cool stuff.

Though it's not strictly a state , I'd recommend the territory of Puerto Rico. Stellar diversity, as cheap as (or cheaper than) S. Oh yeah. I had a female Pale Milksnake (~24" total length) kill and consume a male who was 4-5" longer than her (and nearly as stocky) while I had them together to breed. She kept him down for a few days before "giving him back" to me... ick. She was none the worse for wear, thou...

Way cool. I used to breed Veiled Chameleons - they're awesome animals. Yours looks like a stud, too. That Gallotia is pretty sweet and I dig the White's Tree Frogs. I had an imported adult a long time ago for over 10 years. Tons of personality.
