Re: Nevada Rosy Boa...It's official!
I always felt like the habitat around Grapevine Canyon, near Scotty's Castle in Death Valley, looked like it might support boas. There is permanent water there and it is very close the NV border. I have never drive any farther east than the castle, so possibly the habitat changes once you reach NV? ...

Re: Nevada Rosy Boa...It's official!
I think there are boas in quite a few areas that nobody has just gotten around to looking. I don't know that I could point out an AZ boa if someone waved it in front of me but if someone showed me a picture of the habitat, I'm sure I could say, with a fair measure of accuracy, "Yeah" or &q...

The thing about South Texas is that aside from the Lower Rio Grande Valley (Brownsville area), it is mostly dry mesquite scrub. The Cat-eyes are only found in that one little area, just like Drymobius, whereas the Indigos can go anywhere they have access to surface water. For example, you can find t...

Somewhat off-topic but how feasible is to herp around the border areas in AZ or SoCal, for rosaliae, for example, with so much activity from USBP, illegals, cartel action, etc.?
Just curious because it's been some time since I lived in CA.

When I was a kind, I always thought it was fascinating that I could look into my pet Leopard Gecko's ear and see through to the other side, and that my Flying Gecko could lick it's own eyeballs.
Or, that when the tail fell off the lizard, it would still be "alive" for some time.
