Re: N Fontana zebratail

A couple others are Great Basin Collared and Desert Night. An unconfirmed sighting of a Speckled Rattler was reported from around there too.

Re: N Fontana zebratail

Nice :thumb: Just to double check, you are certain it is Lytle Creek wash?? Because they have been known from Cajon Wash for years. Also they are suppose to be in San Jacinto Wash. Speaking of San Jacinto Wash, there are also rumors of Baja Collared Lizards and Desert Horned lizards in there.

Re: Trimorphodon lambda in California (??)

I have tracked down one very old record of lambda from the Riverside Mountains along the Colorado River in Riverside County. The booklet does seperates the two Trimorphodons.

Image
Here is a known P. gilberti gilberti from the mid-Sierras and it looks very much like the one above. It just goes to show how difficult those things can be to identify.

Kent was your gator found at the station itself at ~8500 ft. or did you desend considerably in elevation. That sighting is interestingly high.

Re: Plestiodon skiltonianus in Southern Sierra Nevada (??)

Thanks Bob. Have you actually seen Western Skinks in the Greenhorn-Breckenridge Mtns. My theory is that those animals are possibly miss identified P. gilberti. Your skink form the Kern Plateau is obviously skiltonianus. Gilbert skinks are thick in the Greenhorn mountains, thus in theory, they should...

Plestiodon skiltonianus in Southern Sierra Nevada (??)

:?: Could people post pictures of the Western Skinks (P. skiltonianus) that they have found in the Greenhorn, Breckenridge, Piute, or elsewhere in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Precise locations are not needed. However a general mountain range is needed to make the information/picture useful.

Crotalus
Crotalus oreganus
C. o. helleri

Use the same technique to insert amphibians or any other taxon.

Any ideas of what this one is? : Ensatina, leaning toward Oregon spp. I'm guessing this is a Painted or Oregon Ensatina or some sort of cross. : Looks more like Painted. They all looked different. : First 3 garters are Northwesterns, while the latter two are Common Garter (leaning toward Valley spp....
