Yeah, it's pretty easy to find, gopher, rattle, garter, and racer snakes. Spade foots toads are super common but not easy to find and bufo are also present. What part of Roosevelt will you be on?

NO

I used to think it was cool to handle hots. I did some in the past and even kissed one on camera. I realize now that it was all for and due too selfishness on my part and was not in any way in the animals best interest. It's just not worth the risk in my opinion, for me anyway.

I just can't do a ton of stairs and stuff, or hope from rock to rock. Standard walking/hiking trails are just fine. I hope I didn't make myself seem more crippled than I really am. As for the mole lizards I guess I will just have to make another trip down in the Fall for those and just focus on S. C...

Hmm, well there might be a little legal wiggle room IF you have a valid collection permit. The problem is getting that permit without being directly associated with a university. I highly doubt that SCPs would even be issued to K-12 teachers not actually collecting specimens but just for data collec...

I concur with Mike. The only pits I have seen in the Cheney area are 100% desericola, but the ones you find North of the Little Spokane River are definitely much different than the typical deserticola. IDK, maybe the differences are due to environment?

Tech, IMO your interpretation of the law is not accurate. Picking up a snake even for a brief moment is illegal in WA from my understanding of the law. The only thing you can do in WA is see and photograph without molesting the native wildlife. WA has some of the most restrictive non-game wildlife laws in the country. J. Hakim is you, correct? If so, do you reside within the NW Chapter boundaries? I think according to the bylaws you need to be in order to even be the at large IB rep. If not I can get someone else in the Chapter to do it. I assumed you were CA chapter previously.
