The last one are definitely frogs, not salamanders. Cant really ID without seeing the entire egg mass they came from, but they are probably woodfrogs.

Not a bad idea. 10% bleach solution is all it takes to kill any pathogens. This practice is required for people who work in sensitive habitats or with endangered species.

Ben,I wish I could get some help with a herp inventory of my park.
What park? If you could get the group permission, doing a bioblitz type survey could be incorporated into the meeting. Especially if you could grant access to "closed" areas or going on the property at night.

Yes I am aware, and that is how I currently do it. But you can only advance 400 records at a time, and I have over 4000 records. They do not seem to be in the pools in the daytime and often can be found by flipping logs around the edges of pools during breeding season. yeah, I've noticed that as the google map feature is updated, the gps markers move a little. I've quit trying to keep them current...I think anyone getting the data will realize that the turtles were in the water, not up on the hillside, especially if they look at the voucher photo... :lol: hmmm......

Click on the wrench icon to the upper right of the latitude box in Edit Record. The Map will pop up, double click to over the correct spot to replace the peg.
