I've been bit twice by gila monsters. Once while grabbing a baby by the tail on a road as a car was coming. It swung around and sliced my index finger. I flung it off immediately and was not envenomated. The monster flew about 10 feet off to the side of the road. My finger bleed more than usual for ...

The herp season has slowed down and I have a few pics to share. I spent alot more time on foot this year wondering desert washes at night.
