Great post, great trip.

You really found some excellent wildlife. Loved the shot of the Leopard cat.

Gaur are truly magnificent. I have never seen one in the wild but standing next to a massive bull at Melaka zoo with nothing but a couple of strands of wire between you is a humbling experience.

I'm sure it would have taken me weeks to come up with that one. Having just checked the distribution map on amphibiaweb it looks like I can stretch the border of it's distribution by a few miles.

I visited Nicoya in January 2009, it has some lovely spots. It can be fairly busy in the bigger tourist type resorts. You should see plenty but it is difficult to be too specific. More great Butterfly shots. Looks like an amazingly successful trip.

Anyone able to ID this small brown snake photographed in central Thailand a few days ago. It was about 12 -14 inches long with white bands. Can you tell me do any of your carinata have bright blue tongues?

I waited for a tongue picture until the last one - and then it looked brown.

On the birds: I agree the first is a barbet. 2nd is a Shama, possibly white-rumped. They are on the postage stamps of Malaysia. 3rd is a white-throated kingfisher. 4th is some kind of plover.
