Re: Yay!
that is a nice looking boa and imo the most exciting way to find one.
I recommended to a friend to not waste his time sat night. It was his first chance to get out all year so he did anyway and scored a boa. Nothing else was found all night but hey who cares.
Congrats Brad

The stephensi there are as variable as any where else I guess. That animal was a bit more darker then normal for the area. Do you spend much time looking for boas. I didn't start seeing lyre snakes until I started spending countless hours looking for dumb boas  Rich I actualy voted on spilling ...

Thank goodness. At first I thought of a crazed zonata running around the mountains killing herpers. Whew the hills are safe. Nice Z hubbs. Ill take it for free, ill keep it frozen until the technological advance in veterinary medicine makes it possible to restore life into dead frozen animals. PM me...

Ida Slapped that old bear on the heiny and sent him on his way. Lions are scary. They will eat you. whacked out humans don't frighten me either. I would rather not deal with them though due to the high price of ammo.

Re: Scared the **** outta me!
Wow. Were you in a park. Bears don't usualy walk up to cars to say hello. You could have got out and photographed the lyre and he wouldn't have bothered you. Just lock your doors cause park bears will open your door and steel your trail mx. that looks like a HUGE bear.

thanks Ross yeah the boa is basically a san Gabe.
John and cg, glad you like the shot. John with persistance and lots of hard work combined with the skill of a ninja you too could find a boa like that. but probably not.
Brian, I'm pleased with my success this season. Thanks for all your help.

Honda trail 90. 100 mpg and will climb anything. Lol I have an 02 f150 I only got stuck once when my wheel hub came apart 30 miles east of Cal city. That kinda sucked. But then I have been broke down in a friends yota. The new FJ cruisers are suppose to be sick. I want one but it seems like it would...

thanks guys. Ross, that bobcat sat there on a road cut while I photographed it. it let me change lenses 3 times. I got out of the truck and stood 5 feet in front of it and take pictures. I have seen several and never got a single shot of. I think this cat loved the attention

Re: Some summer fnds.
it was not the nicest looking stephensi but right after I saw it I flipped a u, hit some metal off the side of the road and flattened my tire. I had some free time while my compressor aired up the tire so I photographed it any way. There are some nice looking panimants in the area though.

Re: OMG snakes on the beach
There is no beach in Costa Mesa, but who cares about particulars like that. On a side note, I picked up a gopher and a coachwhip on the beach that appeared to be washed down the flood control after heavy rains a few winters back. Maybe I got the clips mixed up. Some where on the coast in southern C...

me and some friends decided to run down treasure cove naked during spring break back in high school. OMG snakes on the beach
KCAL news reports unidentified snakes on the beach of costa mesa. I guess they have nothing better to report about in the LA area. Hopefuly nobody's honey hole was exposed by the news.
