Wow! Your Memorial Day weekend was better than mine. Judging by the herps you saw looks like you covered quite a bit of territory in AZ. The Hopi Rattlers and the Midget Faded were awesome :thumb: . Hoping to see those when I visit AZ later this year.

What a cool thesis project. Time out in the field w/ a great group of neighbors (esp love that you keep running into the same rattler time and again). Excellent shot of the scorpion. Was it a Desert Hairy?

Great finds out there. That's the yellowest Shovelnose I've ever seen. That Kingsnake is a beauty! Those shots of the King's release and preying on the frog are amazing. Wow! Love that Lyre! One of my favorite snakes. Very cool that you were able to walk all those snakes. Night-walking's quickly becoming my favorite form of herping. Good excercise and finding herps. A win win.

That sucks. It's unethical people and practices like that that're gonna doom the whole herping hobby. When I took my hunters safety course they gave us a number to report poachers. I wonder if applies to people taking herps illegally as well.

Walking up on snakes out on the crawl to me seems like the most exciting way to find them, but then again I might be saying that cuz I've had a less than stellar year flipping.
