Those are just normal color variations of Chios. Last night I saw a black and white one and a yellow and black one. I see 6 or 7 different color varieties in Borrego alone.

Great post Tai!! Even us who study the pinguis rarely get to see adults. They commonly use the Loblolly trees also. Good to see the lewisi in there too!

Paul, go with glossy snakes!!! They are such great captives. Its funny people rarely keep them, but gopher snakes are so popular. They're very similar, but glossys are much nicer.

Where are you looking for Chionactis? I have been seeing as many as 15 in a night in the low desert. Lsst night was only 4, but its not the moon. A system is coming in and cooling things off. Even on bright moon nights, Chionactis don't seem too affected.
