Underwater cameras
Hi everyone, I will be going to Hawaii in November and am interested in finding a good reliable underwater camera. My only requirements are that it be digital (the more megapixels the better) and cost somewhere under $600. I am particularly interested in the sealife Dc1200 and if anyone has any expe...

Re: The first rattler
Pretty cool shot considering it was before your herping days, pretty snake too. I still have my first shot of a venomous snake (eyelash viper) in comparison your photo looks like it belongs in national geographic.

Re: Western Pygmy Rattlers
Loved the snakes, some nice chunky pygs there. That 1st habitat shot really makes me want to go herping.
Re: WI Timber
Excellent find, my first WI timber sighting was over before I could really appreciate it. Its cool you got a chance to photograph it.

Re: Which image is better and why?
I started liking #1 better, started replying and quickly read the responses before mine so as not to rehash too much and both sides make a good argument. I looked again and saw some of the things the others mentioned in the images, now I'm not sure which image I prefer. Several things that instantly...

Re: It's not the camera.....
I cant afford an underwater case for my dslr as it costs more than the camera did, so I have to find alternatives. Re: prettiest snake
I have a few that I consider very nice looking snakes. This juvie eastern hognose really amazed me, it had a slight pinkish hue to it and a very clean pattern, very different from most of the hogs I usually see. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2481/3941542702_539e3f7747.jpg I am also a big fan of thi...

Re: FAST FOOD FIELD HERPING
2001 was a while back... So was 1975, when the bounty offered for rattlesnake rattles was finally lifted in WI. However the populations of rattlesnakes in WI and other midwest states where the bounty was offered have never completely recovered. ...Sorry just playing a little devils advocate. Occasi...

Re: Crocodile+fish/Alligator+turtle
Thanks all I'm glad you enjoyed! the Am Croc looks huge so that fish must have been pretty large itself. That is one big snook! I'd love to hook into one that size! Yeah it was a huge fish, I remember thinking it was large enough to feed a family. Crocodilians are my favorite herp Yeah mine too, I a...

Crocodile+fish/Alligator+turtle
Well first I might as well reintroduce myself, I used to post under the name "Happyagamid" some of you remember most probably don't but no matter. These are 2 older series focusing on crocodilians which are some of my favorite herps so I thought they were worthy of a repost. Depending on how much ti...
