Re: How much does it cost?
My most frequented spot for road cruising puts over 200 miles on my car in a typical night -75m out there, 75m back, and the road of choice is 25 miles long (down and back is 50m). In the prime of the season, I go one to three times a month. So gas is usually my biggest expense. As mentioned, camer...

Re: Question for Roadcruising
I have rarely road cruised in the day time and when I have, I haven't had much luck. I seem to have more success in the evenings/nights from just before dark until perhaps 11:00 pm however, I usually stay out until around 1:00 am. That being said, it seems as though things don't really get good unti...

I got venom in my eye a couple of years ago while herping in Texas. I don't recall if it was a WDB or a black tail, but it wasn't a big deal in my case. Nothing more than minor irritation.

Good luck with your new career! A few things: 1. Yes, there is a Wishlist, but it's just that. You will be stationed where the Navy wants you to be stationed. Your specialty will also influence your assignments. 2. You will be exposed to lots of new Herping opportunities in the military, but I stro...

You can certainly find atrox and horridus in the same area. Keep cruising! Didn't some guys from Arkansas find some on the same ridge, in Arkansas? Were you in on that trip(s)? Yes, they have both been found on the same ridge. We know of den sites in both AR, and OK. I have seen them both at the OK...
