Re: Patternless N.e. transversa?

My experience says that the snakes you are seeing that appear "patternless" are in fact just muddy. I have captured numerous (hundreds) individuals that first appear "patternless" and after a good PIT tag and messing with, they soon show their true characteristics. I will ask a f...

Wow. These are big claims with no supporting evidence from you. Just ranting about the inadequacies of a state agency (you only give examples from CDFW). First, published literature was not ignored. However, the published literature may have not been enough regardless of what YOU think. Second, dema...

Awesome. Wish I had gone to St. Lucia while I was there. Have you checked to see if your C. warreni is a new record for the area? I am fairly sure a few have been recorded from that range but you may have more to offer in a specific location. Look at: Stanley, E.L. and M.F. Bates. Here be dragons: a...

Slidell- Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge RFI

Hello-

I will be staying in Slidell, LA over the weekend and going to try and check out the Bayou Sauvage Wildlife Refuge. Does any one here have any advice or would like to join for a hike (herping and birding)?

Thanks,

Maybe I have missed it, since I skimmed through most of this, but: 1. Pit falls take a lot of time and effort to set up. 2. Do you have permits to handle, touch, catch, examine, take and bring stomach contents out of India, etc.? 3. Pit falls take a lot of effort and time. I would stay away from pit...
