By the way, the weird looking homopterans sure look like Derbidae to me. I see something similar in Malaysia except the Malaysian species carry "tusks". Fantastic again, Christopher! Love White Hawks and King Vultures. The Osa is just such a fantastic place. I spent 5 weeks there way back...

Excellent photos. I would've let nature take her course with the croc and the dogs though. Dogs loose on the run is never a good thing anywhere as they'll attack and eat not just birds and mammels but herps as well. Wow, absolutely mind blowing assortment of snakes! Excellent work, how long were you there for? I have spent a bit of time in amazonion Peru and found a fair amount of the same animals but am extremely jealous of the Lachesis and durissus. Looks like an amazing time, and great photography to boot!

I watched a burm(6-7ft) get completely ran over by a big truck with a trailer and boat attatched in the oncoming lane before I could get to it. Totally smashed by all the truck tires and trailer with boat, it was still trying to get away after that so I grabbed it, it still put up a fight with blood...
