Thanks, Jeff. Yeah, sometimes i get lucky! :D My second Anomochilus leonardi to date! I have also found a even rarer (or perhaps the rarest?) Xenophidion schaeferi).

Missing the forest and the wildlife so much! Not allowed to exercise outdoors. No hiking, no herping either. As soon as this is over, I will go camp at the substation and herp till i drop!

Looks like you had a great herping trip! That venustus spot seems to be an open secret :D

That mangrove pit viper looks really similar to the morph we have in Kedah.

Love the viper swallowing prey shot, and all the colorful snakes!!! <3. I had no idea it's that expensive to herp in Ecuador! What a shame.

I love coral snakes but unfortunately, we don't get that many species here.

Thanks, Mark. Finally got lucky at the highland and found a Bungarus flaviceps baluensis up on a tree during my last tour there. There was a viper on that tree earlier so I assumed the krait went up the tree to hunt for that viper.

Absolutely fantastic! I like best all the species of tree vipers and how I can see the swirls of colors that make up the less-detailed color we would see from a safe distance. Ha, but I would rather have luck with rare species than with those relatively common species :D Yeah, T. borneensis can be quite hard to spot! I have only seen two myself. You're the only herper I know who has seen the Top 3 snakes in Borneo: Xenodermus javanicus, Stoliczkia borneensis, Gonyophis margaritatus. Incredible!!! I herped with Shavez, Chun, Ledumin for 6 nights last week. No luck.

Nice one, John. I had forgotten that you proceeded to Danum after Kota Kinabalu!

Although the herping hours were limited, you still managed to find a few lifer species (to me). I still haven't found any Aphaniotis ornata nor Ptychozoon horsfieldii!

The biggest I saw was Limnonectes leporinus in MNP.

Four nights, i think! We didn't see any Tarsier on the first night! One on the second night, another on third night, and TWO on the fourth night!
