2014 was a good year for Retics as well. Some of which have turned up in some of the most unlikely of places. But then again, it isn't all that surprising. Thank you guys! There are a few places where you can easily observe Chrysopelea paradisi. They like hanging out on the support beams of shelters as they provide ideal places to rub their sheds off. Also, they're packed with geckos.

Yeah the haze has stopped since last month. Highest PSI reading was about 600+! :crazyeyes:
But I'm alright so long as the flora and fauna, (Especially the herps) are doing fine. :lol:

The four deep bites didn't matter, because I was too happy when I caught it! :lol:

Another factor to consider for abundancy estimations is how a particular snake species reacts when sensing danger. Species like Pictus, Caudolineatus, and possibly Haas, usually try to make an escape in an instant of sensing danger. Kopsteini's behaviour can depend, I have encountered many that try...

60 cm is far too large for it to be a Pelodiscus. A large adult female Chinese softshell would be a huge specimen at 30 cm.
