I think the Ecuadorian snake is Taeniophallus brevirostris.

I am pretty certain your Leptophis mexicanus is actually Leptodrymus pulcherrimus, a much cooler and seldom seen snake on this forum! On my bucket list!

Just had to add this example of why one should ALWAYS look where you are putting your hands while in the jungle. Rags, most were found right on the grounds of the lodge we were staying at. A few others were road-cruised at night and were released in rain forest near to their capture.

Great post bro! This was my fifth trip to CR and certainly the most productive! Lots of 18+ hour herping days paid off. Can't wait until next year...

One thing I've found that helps some with fogging is keeping packs of desiccant, such as those that come with shoes, etc., in my camera bag. While by no means fool-proof, it does lessen the effect of moisture on the camera and lens.

Hans, the first one looks like a juvenile Oligodon purpurascens, the maroon kukri snake, and the second a Ptyas (Zaocys) fuscus, the white-bellied rat snake.
