You did well, Sir! The striped eyelash vipers and the N. biporcatus are my favorites. Nice job on the lifer Porthidium too. I saw one of those lil sock-headed snakes when i was down there too. Great finds and photos. I'm glad you had a nice trip.

I found a blue smooth green snake on weds evening and was wondering if this is uncommon or if they occur in this "phase" regularly? I read that in KS they sometimes have blue coloration and RobK found a blue one similar to this at the same spot a year or two ago. Frankly, I'm excited to se...

They are most often found in the late afternoon They are most likely to be flipped under rocks in the days following precipitation They are more likely to be found under surface cove...

I finally found a snake in a tire.
This was in the morning so i'm thinking he may have spent the night in there and was getting warmed up for the day when we found him and rolled him down a hill
