cackling goose 9-28-12 after looking through 1000s of canadian geese last fall this spring and now fall i got one, on the first real day of goose movement south in NY.

Finally it's happened to me!!!
sorry no pics yet but the first frogs were on the move early this am march 18th and today while walking I found a female eastern gartersnake. in central NY oswego and jefferson counties.

When I was in NC you could find spotteds almost anytime of the year in late summer go super early in the am and on sunny days in winter.

enough talk more pics lol. so if temporalis are indeed a hybrid of elapsoides and triangulum has anyone bred them together in captivity to see what the results were? side note I do not encourage hybridization other than natural intergrades but inquiring minds want to know.

OMG the dreaded spotted adder lol I used to kill em when I was young then learned they were constictors and harmless i was hooked haven't stopped learning, herping since.

I have to catch it or get close enough that it could be caught like. cept for gators or those pesky basking turtles I have to be able to see it close enough to confirm it's ID's I also HAVE to find it myself. I also keep a life list for birds they just have to be photoed.

my lifer was so lame I'm not gonna post a pic! white spotted slimy salamander from the piedmont of NC. looks no different than a northern slimy or some of the atlantic coast slimies I've seen.

I'd go with weasel or mink as well, we used to do alot of trapping and we would use mice as bait and they would usually just eat the head strange lil critters.
