Three species of kingsnake in one state! It's just not fair!!! What fun it must be driving to different places in the state, experiencing the different species along the way. I've never seen a Black nor Speckles Kingsnake ever, for sale or in any collection. Must be nice living in the South, y'all....

This past May, a friend and I got to observe this Ribbon Snake feeding on a Leopard frog. I was able to capture some video as well as get a shot or two. We heard the frog crying and immediately knew it had been caught: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXjaYzfNTns https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5453/1...

You can find both throughout the majority of Alabama, if you happen to make it to the northern part of Alabama, I could probably show you both species in one night. As for Mississippi, not too sure.

I'd recommend finding a decent trail and just hiking, you'll find a lot of stuff just by doing that this time of year. I found corns, kings, garters, ribbons, pythons, pygmies, cottons, water snakes, gators, and more just doing this. And road cruise at sunset, or if youre looking for EDBs cruise dur...

A friend and I are planning a trip to ANF next month, mid-late October, for 7 days/6nights. Good stuff.. how many snakes did you find while you were up there? If you found more than one than it was in all likelyhood a den site. Sheds are also indicative. I dont know of any that are 4200, but most of the sites I know in that area are above 3000ft. It would not surprise me to find them that ...
