I had similar results last weekend about 1.5 hours further west and south, except for swapping your zebratail for a couple Uma rufopunctata. A big ditto about it sure being great to get out in the field too !

That was a SPECTACULAR post ! I can't remember the last post here with so many perfectly illustrated species. Those that were posed were done so with artistic precision and superb lighting --- the telltale marks of a real pro shutterbug, IMHO.

GREAT shots! The muddy, wandering turtles were great, and of course the rattlesnakes, but that sunset shot with the four o'clock flowers glowing takes the cake for me!

I also noticed an increased number of roadkills driving tween PHX and Show Low, AZ several days last week just before the harder cold hit us. There must have been a push to move as things cooled down.
