Re: Cool Pic
How did you end up using your flash, if you don't mind me asking? I used the slave feature on my flash. A buddy of mine helped me get the shot. He was standing to the right of the snake and pointing the flash at a downward angle. If you look closely at the photo you can see the shadows that where c...
Re: Cool Pic
LOL... I am curious, too, more because that rock it is posed on is not the "usual" looking granite from where you find rosies. Where is this guy from? Just based on the look of the animal, I am guessing upper Mohave. Thanks for sharing. I'm not comfortable posting locality info but I can ...
Cool Pic
Here is a cool pic of a boa I found recently (at least I think it is). I tried a different technique with my wireless flash.
Hope you guys enjoy.
Thanks!!

Re: flipping in the rain
Honestly, I didn't think they would be up in these conditions. It's been cold and raining. It just didn't seem good at all. I think I learned something this weekend.

Ya... I didn't expect to see any snakes this weekend. Like Mike said we were scouting out new places to hunt.
Here is a pic I took of the little guy.
Thanks!!

Re: 2010 California Herping
Geez you guys really know how to take the fun out of a post. I'm saddened that I feel like I have to explain myself. I am not a new poster. Prior to the crash I had over a 1000 posts. I know what I'm doing and would not knowingly post something that would do any harm. In this case, I was not worried...

2010 California Herping
I had a great year for herping. I started in early February in the deserts of San Diego County California. I began my adventure close to the border of Mexico and the U.S. My goals was to find unicolor boas and Rubers. Along the way, I found many more herps and friend. If you are not carful it is ver...

Road cruise any road around there tonight. It should be good with all the thunder clouds. The majority of what I've found on a night like this are Rubber Boas.
good luck!
