Re: Alligator shot in Kansas

I wonder if cops go out of their way to show off their ignorance and stupidity? Stories like this would certainly make you think so.

Re: Recent creek adventures.

Very nice post. Once again I appreciate your enthusiasm for Nerodia , I've found it difficult to maintain interest in certain common species after all of these years. Personally, I enjoyed your pics just the way they were. There's something to be said for the people on this forum who take those stel...

I once followed and confronted an individual that I witnessed purposely swerve into the other lane of traffic just to run a rattlesnake over. Let's just say he suffered a fate similar to that of the rattlesnake. Too bad about you're road kill. Kudos to you for taking the innitiative to collect it. I...

Re: A Few Givens, and a Big Surprise!

This is actually pretty cool. I've found snake eggs and lizard eggs in artificial cover on multiple occasions but this is something totally unique and different. Do you have any plans on writing up a little natural history note and submitting it for publication? If not you should consider it. Very c...

Re: Lots of sipedon!

That's good to hear, ThatFrogGuy. MeesterSir (I am dying to know your real name!), it may have been due to me washing the wound in the slough I caught the snake in. It was a well bleeding gash and it ended up getting infected and I had to have it bandaged for a few weeks to prevent the infection fr...

Re: Lots of sipedon!

I'm telling you, watch out. I've gotten some very nasty infections from the one large water snake I handled back in my teens. I'm interested in hearing more about this. I've never put so much as a band aid on any non-venomous snake bite. In fact most of the bites I just clean in what ever water sou...

Re: Wisconsin/ behind the cheese curtain...

You know when I'm out field herping and I come across abandoned houses and buildings. I usually find myself being more drawn to wandering around inside of them then the actual field herping anymore. As for the paranormal aspect of that house, I've had a number of odd encounters in abandoned building...

Oh man! Oh man! Someone get the sun screen out because this post it HOT! I loved seeing the Liochlorophis pics and I'm confident they'll re-invade their former habitat in time. The old bridge is amazing, I really dig the composition in the picture.

Excellent! Someone call a firetruck because this post is on fire! In contrast I've seen a number of alterna and many more species of highly fossor...

I had to retire early due to some unfortunate incidents that occured and a nagging back i...

Well, how could I not take offense to that? You accuse me of using drugs because I gave some advice to EvanKY. Maybe it isn't my place to advice him on his parenting, but it certainly does not call for accusing me of using cocaine. Drugs and alcohol have played a very destructive role in my family,...

With all due respect, Disney World is much more a unique experience than field herping. Just something to consider. No offense man. But you might want to lay off of the crack for awhile! Nice, to you have you aboard Norm. Like you I've been into herping for decades and have been a closet poster as well. I'd love to hear about the many exciting herping destinations you visited throughout the years. Don't be so hard on North Dakota, you could be living in Canada.
