Noah, did you catch the color of the mandibles and the other moth parts? Were there white spots at the end of the elytra?

We found out recently the Chamberlain looking dwarfs found in that area are actually undescribed Dwarf Salamanders (Eurycea cf. quadridigitata). Get with Chris M., he'll give you more info.

Holy moly, Bill!! Looks like a Giant Palm Weevil (Rhynchophorus cruentatus). I'm not sure on the mites though. I'm hoping they're parasitic because there's not much you can do to control the weevil once it has infested the palm tree.

They're both very aggravating, but I'm going to say the Yellow Fly (Diachlorus ferrugatus) hurts the most...That's from personal experience, I might add.
