Re: Elevation for Vipera latastei?

Jeff and AEthelred Thanks so much, I ended up not seeing any. I hit three separate ranges, all gorgeous. Got a lot of help from Instagram as well. Looking forward to trying again, and both these notes are definitely helpful. THANK YOU!

Thanks zeevng and Mizra, I'm glad you feel that way. That's exactly what drew me to this forum, even now. And I'll definitely be visiting different zones in Brazil and other countries as well!

Costa Rican Frog ID Help

Last September I took a solo trip to Costa Rica. The two frogs here, I wasn't able to ID. The Little guy on the leaf litter was on the Oso Penisula at the Corcovado National Park. The frog on the underside of the leaf was taken through binoculars at La Selva Biological Station.

Re: Best TIME OF YEAR to Visit Ecuador for Herping?

Mark wrote: July 6th, 2020, 1:53 pm Generally the rainy season is best for herps. In Ecuador the rainy season various quite a bit depending on the location, Amazon vs Choco etc. However in the Amazon, where you're planning to go, it's from about the end of February to July.
Thanks Mark!

I'm planning a trip to Ecuador (most likely Tiputini) with my brother, what month do you recommend? My assumption is October-February. Any additional thoughts?
