I thought it was strange too, given that they are locally abundant. I chalk it up to a lack of searching in Adams County and not a lack of presence. I'd like to check out more of the county to verify just how regionally common they are in Adams. The Smooth Green snake. We did not have them in my imm...

Good afternoon everyone! My name is Mike Currie, my girlfriend's name is Lisa, and we recently just moved to the Denver area from Pennsylvania. I have been a member of the Northeast chapter for some time now and a contributer to the N.A.H.E.R.P. database just as long. I work from home and Lisa previ...

Hey everyone! Mike Currie (mcurrie84) and girlfriend Lisa here. We just moved to the Denver area a week ago. I was a fairly regular poster on the Northeast Chapter forum until things in life took a bit of a negative turn. Anyhoo, I'm back, in a different region, and ready to get out there. Just toda...

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted on here, or how long it has been since I have herped sadly. I heard something very similar on the Messiah College campus years ago when I was out at night. I tried to pin-point the source but every time I moved closer it would stop calling and then would suddenly be calling from another 30m away. Is this a bobcat?

Not much to share, but it is definitely a spot I will be checking out again, preferably earlier in the day! First, some scenery. This spot has some awesome limestone cliffs and supposedly there is a cave, although I didn't find it yesterday! http://i.imgur.com/95KYZl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/k25Apl.jp...

I'm not very good at telling the difference between American and Fowler Toad. These were found in a small puddle/ditch in the middle of a dirt road with a vernal literally on either side of the road.
