Nobody ever plans to get bitten! Even if you have been bitten the next one may be the one you react to! Stupid people take stupid chances! In our hobby this is something we should always think about! How many of us know of people dying because they wanted a better photo Or they did not want the anim...

When you have that deer shot dead, the game warden kinda knows what your plans are! When you have that snake in your hand or on a hook, it's kinda hard to know if your planning to bag it or move it off the road? Besides, buying the license allows the state to have money so the game warden is there t...

It just depends on the game warden! I have watched a GW here in Kansas help KILL a small timber stating it was to close to humans???? I used to move them to the side of the road and hope they made it, until a freind pointed out they need to be put down. Now I do what has to be and keep looking for the live one's.

Thats a great post and nice milks but before you put Kansas down, we could have done that in an hour not a day! HA HA!!!!!
Re: Why
That is understandable!
Re: Why
Yes, but no one has yet explained why it is STILL necessary to keep taking animals from the wild, euthanizing them for the sole purpose of education. I would think that the animals already in jars would be enough.
Re: Why
If you want to use road kills, GREAT i'm all with you! However when you start taking prime animals that your collection already has???? I think thats how Ted Bundy studied girls?????

This is not directed at any one person but it has been on my mind for several weeks! We all are herpers and sit here talking about lame people killing reptiles. Re: Rattlesnake Myths
I agree with what is being said in the fact that an adult rattlesnake is much more capable of delivering a severe or fatal bite. However in some subspecies such as C. simus the young neonates produce a venom that contains the constituent crotoxin. This constituent produces neurotoxin symptoms which ...

Now, as for the idea that venom in the neos of some species may be more toxic than adults, that may be true. however, I do not think it warrants the blanket myth that "babies are more dangerous". With adults packing such a larger dose than neos, the venom would have to be A LOT more toxic...
