Rattlesnakes of Arizona

Has anyone ordered and received a copy of Rattlesnakes of Arizona from ECO Publishing? I just ordered it yesterday. Looks pretty nice. Has some original artwork by Tell HIcks, who always does really great work. Curious what you think about it if you have it. Thanks.

Re: Venom Doc(Bryan Grieg Fry)'s Memoirs

No report? Well, I'll have to deliver my own then: Just finished reading this. Can't wait to read it again. This is one of the most interesting and educational books by a herper (if you can call Bryan Grieg Fry that) or about herping (if you can call his job that) I've ever had the pleasure to read...

Re: Field herping in Central Florida

Thanks for the replies. The state parks sound like a great place to start. I've been hiking in several of them and have seen a few herps by chance, but have never gone with the sole intention of looking for herps. I do see herps pretty regularly in my neighborhood as we have a lot of trees and natur...

Re: Field herping in Central Florida

Thanks guys. I'm actually hoping to see just about anything. Mainly snakes, but any herp would be great. It's not so much a matter of particular habitat as it just finding areas that open and available to herping. You are right, there are a lot of state parks. I just wasn't sure if people actually h...

Re: A field guide to the amphibians and reptiles of Sonora,

Thanks. It sounds great. I'm looking forward to getting it. I have Grismer's Baja book and agree that it is very well done. I met him at an IHS meeting in New Orleans several years ago and he's a great guy. BTW, I gotta look up the book you have as your avatar. That's a new for me and sounds interes...

Field herping in Central Florida

Anyone in the Orlando/Central Florida area do a lot of local field herping? There don't seem to be too many areas to hunt near me--everything is either so built up or it's private property. Not really sure where to start. I guess some of the state parks would be good--I only want to observe and phot...

Re: A field guide to the amphibians and reptiles of Sonora,

Good to hear. That's on my list. I was hoping to find it at the Daytona show yesterday, but no luck. I'll order it from the ECO web site. What in particular do you like about it?
