Really good stuff here It makes me miss my old stomping grounds in Missouri. Coachwhips in Missouri remained a white whale for me. I spent a lot of time in Missouri in good habitat looking for them, but the closest I ever got to one was a shed. Elusive little buggers

West texas was definitely one for the books, and the reaction to both of our lifer mountain lion was great (WHA...WHAT....THERE IT IS!!!!). Gary, Very cool post in some of my favorite habitat. Where are the coachwhips? LOL. The ringed salamander is cool, more than once I've flipped those on glades in Missouri. Eastern hogs seem to pop up there too, but usually I walk up on them as opposed to flipping them. Hope I can get out this spring...

There are no snakes at snake road whatsoever. You have to go to cool places like nerdslick, Kansas or bumtwist, Iowa to find snakes. I like to look in corn fields.
