Thanks for input so far. I have really been mapping out parks I have not hit previously that show good results for Pygmy's like Loxahatche Slough and others slightly North of PBC. Recent news articles and posts show some big EDB are still to be found and not slaughtered by idiots. Few weeks now cant...

Feb 28th and later- Palm Beach County and South activity?
Been years since I was in Palm Beach County FL for vacation, this will be the latest time in year (usually dec/jan) of the many I have gone. I typically hit Seacrest scrub and local parks and am happy with Gopher's and racers but hoping I may get to see more Crotalus and Sistrurus this year. Do I ne...

(having to dig out a lens out of my backpack involves setting the backpack down and opening it up - generally causing enough motion to scare off a subject). Im with you now! Re: Who bring two (or more) camera's in field?
One thing that confused me about your post is you're talking about using a D40 and a Sl1 Canon and talking about which lens to place on which body. I don't know about the specific bodies you're speaking about but Nikon and Canon have different lens mounts, my understanding are there are ways to get...

Primarily blue spotted salamanders, being they are smaller you will have to drive slow. Roll East to west on southside followed by Northbound west of Pond. Thanks, been reading since I posted and agree with what you said. They make ball heads now that will adapt to most 1/4" stud base's, some say its gets unwieldy on a pod. Trek has a pod with flip out footings that pivot as well. Price moving out of picture with the more I read. Some experienced ...

So many options out there would love to hear first hand opinions who own them. I work extremely steep and loose stone bluffs more than anything so strength is important.
