My aim this year is to find:
I'm told EDBs are "everywhere" but I can never find them for whatever reason. I've actually found more canebrakes than EDBs. Anyone have any tips on how, where to look? I also hope to find a live Southern Pine and Indigo. Let's see if I can update this thread with a happy post.. Finding an...

Re: March in Florida
Perhaps. Could be John. He does southern Ocala down to Leesburg.
Him and I have been out a few times this year. One of my Customers has a ton of rattlers on her property.

Re: Snake Trouble for Florida family
This is actually pretty common this time of year. I have 3 places in Gainesville alone who have this exact problem. I'd get the lead, go to the place and will see 3 or 4 just while standing there with the owner, discussing the issue. I also believe one of our techs are going to handle the issue last...

Re: Only took 10 years to find one of these..
Agreed, it was a female.
Not sure why she was crossing; it was low tide and feet from the first bridge going into Cedar Key.
Pretty exciting though, stood there checking her out for a solid 10 minutes.
It's probably up there with finding mud snakes at Paynes.

Re: Only took 10 years to find one of these..
Yeah, he was crossing. I go out to the cedar key at least once week for work and is the first time Ive seen one period. I usually check the flats during low tide because high tide creates too much brush to find anything. I've also just sat in one spot trying to see a head popping out but only thing ...

Re: Gilchrist County, FL
Going out to my buddies place who live on the other side of Ginnie, amphibians and cottons are plenty. Their house generally looks like its moving from the array of tree frogs and ground due to toads.
I recently found a southern pine DOR in Levy county and was coming out of a watermelon field.

Re: An Eastern Oklahoma Crotalus question
Sure. I have found both if you're near the reservoir. Can't give you any roads or anything because I simply don't recall as it's been years but, I'm also from Lawton. Well, grew up in Walters but close enough.

Re: Southeast Chapter Member Biographies (2014 update)
I've lurked on and off for a good while now and since I was enticed to start herping again, I figured I may as well become a member.. I live on 20 acres in the Archer (Levy County) area near Gainesville, Fl. I moved to Florida for school some years ago from Oklahoma and before my move I was huge int...
