Re: End of the Year 2013... #4 - MORBIDITY
Here is an example of living Morbidity. While herping with Brick and Kyle, brick found a nice black rat snake. After taking some pictures Brick noticed a twig hanging from the cloaca and Jessica pulled it out. It had to be 8 inches long , much longer than any of us would have guessed! http://i545.ph...

Dekay snakes are a common find in my neighborhood and the only reptile I have found within a half mile of my home. My daughter raced from the shower when I told her I found a snake in our yard. Turtles have always been my favorite group of animals. In 2013 I had great success and crossed two things off my bucket list when I witnessed nesting and hatching Sea Turtles in south Florida. After the N.E. Chapter trip last year Salamanders became my second favorite group of herps. I would love to find some tigers and more spotted populations, I only know of one. Why don't they do a story about how successful Eastern Indigo breeding is in captivity? Or about how Rare GEOCLEMMYS HAMILTONI AND PODOCNEMIS UNIFILIS are in the wild but at the Daytona expo there were hundreds of captive bred hatchlings. Just a few of many species that the hobby has started to help.
