I'd nominate Justin, aka tuataurifer. Seriously knows his herp stuff, with all the zoo and hellbender work he does, I am sure he is plenty qualified enough. Plus he got jokes.

Rainbow Snake
Spent last weekend searching for erythrogamma, on the last day, was successful. I saw a large brown watersnake go into some rocks along the water's edge and Ryan (Dracojc) and I spent about a minute looking for it. We pulled some grass out of the way, and at the base of the grass was a black and red...

Might just be me, but no pictures are showing up! Me either. I see a picture of a cottonmouth, and that is all. The page then freezes and shows a blue screen that says 'Oh snap! Try reloading' Reading the text, it sounds like it was a good year though. --Berkeley I may have just put too many photos...

Dane, I hope you're just trolling, this is considered very bad form by the herp community as a whole. I have never really peeled or known anything about it. So never talked to other herpers about it. Figured I asked before I did it, glad I did. I was completely unaware of how bad it was. Wasn't try...

Some people who get nailed by venomous snakes that eat a lot of carrion (Cottonmouths) sometimes experience secondary infections from bacteria in the snake's mouth. If a snake ate a mouse that had some bacteria and the bacteria is on its teeth, then bites a person. Can that bacteria get in someone's bloodstream and start an infection from the mouse?
