i love my fenix tk 35 it works well for cruising or hiking and at 830 lumens it works as a spotlight too. :thumb: I too use the Fenix TK35 and love it. It will run you about $130 with batteries, but well worth the price! I know for a fact I've seen waaaaaaay more snakes this season because of my TK...

what a year! That old farm house looks like a great spot to do some herping. from the looks of your whitney trip you ran into the same storm that hit me on my backpacking trip in early September. I got caught in a bad storm on the High Sierra Trail at Kaweah Pass and turned around back to Lodgepole....
