Anyone in the San Francisco area?
It's been a while since I posted, but I'm in California for the next day. Currently I'm staying in/around San Francisco and am heading out early Thursday morning. This is a call for help to anyone willing to throw me some tips, or meet up. Shoot me a PM and maybe we could work something out. I was h...

I'm also curious how this would work for people on the East coast interested in taking a few in. I dig this whole idea and wish more people thought like that, it's very interesting and all the feedback is impressive. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.
Crocdoc, that is very similar to what I want. Now to try and get that a bit more like a spotted and I'll be good to go! Great starting point for me though.
Salamanderhunter, I'll PM ya in a wee bit.

So basically I'm in need of some sketches of a Spotted Salamander's life cycle from egg to adult with almost every stage in between. Those are some nice captives. I have a friend down here that tried to get a breeding project going with them, but stopped because he thought they would be too hard to breed. Would you say that are more difficult than more common snakes in the hobby as far as CB breeding goes?

Here's one I found just the other week. From the NC Piedmont. http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j439/ehunsinger/DSCN2307.jpg I am under the impression that it isn't something that most say you could target. Also, there is a reptile show coming up here anyone have any experience in price difference between ordering it online or picking one up at the show?
