Good post, Noah. Seems like y'all did well given the conditions. The canebrake is awesome! Walking up crotes is always exciting. I really like the sock idea, Jimi. I'll have to remember that if I'm ever in a similar situation... Socks also make for good rags and even toilet paper if you're desperate...

Thanks, Chrish. The carabiner is for clipping it to my camera bag since it doesn't quite fit on the inside. I totally agree that a translucent cutting board would be a better option. Spineback, I haven't seen a green phase ornata. Unfortunately, the green ones are exceedingly rare in the population where I've observed them.

Thanks. The ocularis were probably the hardest to find and photograph, despite there being 50+ individuals calling from a small area. I might try to get some better pictures later today, assuming they're calling.
