Herper of the Month - February 2005 |
| Jeremiah
Easter |
 |
| Growing up in southern CA,
Jeremiah began seriously herping at the age of 16. His youth was
spent trying to find the big SoCal (southern CA) prize, Lichanura. He learned a
lot about herping from members of the southwest herpetologists
society, some of whom he is indebted to for sharing their spots and
information. |

 |
| Jeremiah has had the
opportunity to herp in 13 states across the country and is trying to
complete his lifetime goal of capturing every snake in the US, alive,
and in its native habitat. He has grown a fascination for Thamnophis
in recent years, partially because he now lives in the state of
Washington, where they are prominent. He loves the variation within
the family. (click here

include photography, writing, digital imaging techniques, and web
design. He has a collection of hundreds of photographs, mostly of
herps, but dabbles in other areas as well. |

Jeremiah, his wife Beth,
and son Indiana are lifelong Christians. He loves herping
because It gives him an opportunity to see many aspects of a
created world that often goes unnoticed. For Jeremiah, it is
a form of worship. He is currently working on two books,
with many more in the planning stages, all while working to
complete his BS in evolution/ecology at UW. |
