Since 2000, Patrick has assisted in collecting several blood samples for genetic analysis of California rattlesnakes, which is no surprise since his passion for venomous reptiles goes back to when he was a teenager. In 2004, he earned his Bachelors  Degree in Wildlife Conservation from the University of California Davis. Pictured on the left is patrick holding a red diamond rattlesnake who is being processed for a blood sample, and on the right, some school kids are getting a once in a lifetime experience to feel the rattle of live southern pacific rattlesnake. (DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Patrick is an expert on handling venomous snakes.)
